Shindengen Electric Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (headquartered in Otemachi, Chiyoda-ku) is commencing mass production of the D5CE4S high current Schottky barrier diode which uses a JEITA SC-110 package.
1. Overview
The trend towards higher performance and more advanced features in automobiles has resulted in a shift towards a high number of ECU components installed per unit as well as increased power consumption. This in turn has created greater demand for miniaturization of ECUs, and a greater demand for more compact, thinner components for large currents.
Our company has now expanded our lineup with the 5 A/40 V Schottky barrier diodes formerly provided in SC-63 packages (E pack) now available in the more compact, thinner SC-110 packages (CE) at 5 A/40 V.
In addition, it is a low VF type, providing a high level of reliability that can be guaranteed as a safety control component for vehicle applications.
Going forward, we plan to continue to develop a variety of products for the automobile market to better fulfill customer needs.
